DRAFT — pending legal review
Items marked like [THIS] must be completed before publication.

1. The service

Academica ("the Service"), provided by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] ("we"), is an AI-assisted clinical literature and drug-label reference tool. It retrieves and synthesizes information from published biomedical literature, clinical guidelines and the FDA drug-label database, with citations to its sources.

2. Not medical advice

The Service is intended for research and educational use by healthcare professionals. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for professional clinical judgment. AI-generated answers can be incomplete, outdated or wrong even when cited. Always verify clinically important information against primary sources, and never delay or alter care based on the Service's output alone. Decisions about patient care remain solely your responsibility.

The Service is not a medical device and has not been evaluated or certified as one [LEGAL: confirm MDR position].

3. Your account

4. Acceptable use

5. Content and intellectual property

Cited abstracts, guideline excerpts and drug-label text belong to their respective publishers and are presented with attribution for reference. You may use answers you generate for your own professional and research purposes; you are responsible for how you use them. The Service's software, design and branding remain ours.

6. Availability and changes

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied (including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement). It is under active development: features may change, and availability is not guaranteed. We may modify or discontinue the Service or these terms; material changes will be announced in the app or by email, and continued use constitutes acceptance.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, loss of data or profits, or for clinical decisions made in reliance on the Service. Our aggregate liability is limited to [LIABILITY CAP, e.g. amounts paid in the preceding 12 months]. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Disputes are settled in the district court of [VENUE, e.g. Helsinki], unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
